05 Landing page development
Product landing page development for launches with one clear goal
A launch, a new service or a campaign often needs one page that does one job: explain a single offer to people arriving with a single intent, and turn them into a demo, a signup or an enquiry. We design and build product and service landing pages that are fast, measurable from the first visit, and editable by your team afterwards.
01 Single goal
One page, one goal
A landing page that asks for three things gets none of them. Choose the action first; everything on the page serves it.
- G1
Demo or consultation
For considered purchases: a short qualifying form or booking, with what happens next stated next to it.
- G2
Signup or trial
For self-serve products: minimal fields, the handoff into your product, attribution carried through.
- G3
Enquiry or quote
For services: the few questions that let your team reply specifically, routed to the right person.
- G4
Download or registration
For reports and events: the asset or the date up front, consent captured properly.
02 Message hierarchy
Anatomy of a product landing page
Each region has one job, in the order a visitor needs it. The structure is the same whether the page sells software, a service or an event.
Message and action
Headline matched to the ad or link that brought the visitor; one sentence of substance; the primary action visible without scrolling.
Evidence
The strongest proof you can truthfully show: specifics of the offer, standards, approved client results - never invented numbers.
How it works
Three or four steps that make the offer concrete and reduce uncertainty.
Detail for evaluators
Features, scope, specifications - for the readers who need them before acting.
Objections
Price approach, timing, commitment, data - answered plainly in a short FAQ.
Action again
The same single action, with what happens after submitting.
03 Responsive
Responsive by composition, not by shrinking
Message first on every width
On phones the headline, one line of substance and the action come before any image.
Modules reflow, not shrink
Three-column evidence becomes a stacked list; nothing is scaled down to unreadable size.
The action stays reachable
The primary action repeats at natural decision points instead of a sticky bar that covers content.
04 The action
Form, booking, signup or download
| Action | Use when | Avoid when |
|---|---|---|
| Short form | Your team needs context to reply well | You ask more than you will use |
| Booking calendar | Qualified visitors are ready to talk now | Most visitors are still exploring |
| Signup | The product can be tried without sales | Setup requires your team |
| Download | Visitors need material to share internally | The asset is thin or generic |
05 Measurement
Measurement set up before launch
A landing page is only useful if you can see what it does. Tracking is specified with the page, not added afterwards.
| Item | What we set up |
|---|---|
| Events | Page view, scroll depth to key sections, form start, form submit, booking completed - named in a tracking plan |
| Campaign attribution | UTM parameters preserved through the form into the CRM or product |
| Consent | Tracking gated by consent state; the page works fully without it |
| CRM or product handoff | Submissions create records with page, campaign and consent |
| Variant testing | Optional: page variants built from the same modules if you run A/B tests |
06 Placement
Built where your team can edit it
- 01
Inside your main site
Built from your CMS modules, under your domain and navigation rules. Best when the page should rank, link and live on.
- 02
As a standalone build
Its own lightweight template, with or without site navigation. Best for short campaigns or when the main site cannot be changed quickly.
07 Scope
What is included - and what is not

- Guaranteed conversion rates or uplift
- Ongoing conversion-rate optimisation retainers
- Paid media budgets or bidding
08 Cost
What drives landing page cost
We give a fixed price after a short brief. These are the factors that move it.
| Factor | Lower effort | Higher effort |
|---|---|---|
| Copy | Final copy supplied | Message work and writing from a brief |
| Visuals | Existing brand assets | New product visuals or diagrams |
| Where it lives | Existing CMS modules | New modules or a standalone build |
| Integrations | One form into one CRM | Booking, product signup, several systems |
| Variants | One version | Several audiences, languages or test variants |
Need more than one page? A product with many features and use cases is better served by a full SaaS marketing website; a company site with several audiences by a full corporate website. Replacing an outdated site instead? See website redesign. If the product itself is not built yet, MVP development covers its first release.
09 Questions
Landing page development - questions
How much does it cost to develop a landing page?
Mainly it depends on whether copy and visuals are ready, whether the page uses your existing CMS modules or needs new ones, and on the integrations behind the form. We give a fixed price after a short brief.
How long does a landing page take?
Usually two to four weeks from brief to launch when copy and assets are available, longer when message work, new visuals or several integrations are involved. Planning measurement early keeps it from delaying launch.
Should the landing page live on our main site?
If it should rank in search, be linked to and stay after the campaign, yes - built from your CMS modules. For short campaigns, or when the main site cannot change quickly, a standalone page can be the better choice.
Do you run the ad campaigns?
No. We design and build the page and set up measurement so your marketing team or agency can run campaigns and see results. Campaign management is not part of this service.
Can you guarantee a conversion rate?
No one can honestly guarantee a conversion rate; it depends on the offer, the traffic and the market. What we commit to are the parts we control: a clear message hierarchy, a fast and accessible page, and measurement that shows what is happening.

What you are launching, who will arrive and from where, the one action you want, and your date.
Send a landing page briefA senior lead reads it
Comtau engagements are led by senior people, and the brief goes to them rather than to a sales queue.

Questions about scope, content and platform in writing, or a short call if that is faster for you.
A proposal, or a straight answer
Phases, deliverables, acceptance criteria and price. If Comtau is not the right fit, we say so.
